1. Why did you decide to make EVS abroad?
There is many reasons, but the main are: I like to travel, meet people and learn in a non-formal way. Besides, I took a part in International Federation of Medical student’s Association for one month in Mexico city in 2016.
2. How did you choose this country and this Project? Why this one?
Mostly because I want to see Poland and some other countries in the Europe and I was curious for Polish culture and language. Especially I was curious about Warsaw, so I went there and spend one day.
3. Describe briefly your Project
The main task of my projects is to share my culture, language and my experience with youngsters and elderly people; show common points between generations, cultures and languages.
4. How many applications you sent before you have found your Project?
I sent only one application- and I got in!
5. How much time it took from the moment you decided to be volunteer till the moment you start it?
I was getting ready about 2 months.
6. What was the biggest difficulty you have faced preparing to your Project?
Language barrier, I don’t know anything about polish language. I’m also afraid of travelling alone and getting lost, because it was my first time in Europe specially in Poland.
7. What surprised you in this country?
Many things, sometimes I feel like I got into a time machine and got back in time. Most surprising things: people mostly don’t know English neither they are trying to help you the most thing that I loved in Poland and the peoples are really so kind in here and like the weather too in here Poland Gdansk .
8. What is the most beautiful place you visited during your EVS?
It is hard to say now, but for sure I will know at the end of my EVS.
10. What can you advice to the people who wants to be EVS volunteers?
It’s important to choose project carefully, but on the other hand don’t waste too much time on hesitating. Open your mind, don’t be afraid to take a risk and just go! Let your life surprise you a bit
